The first step in starting or caring for any aquarium is figuring out where to get the water to put into the tank. There are many different types of water that can be used to start and care for your aquarium. The source of water can be the cause of many aquarium problems. Although there are many different sources of water that is used, Tap Water is most commonly used. Tap Water is used in a majority of tanks as it is easily obtained and can typically be rendered safe for use by removing Chlorine and Chloramine.

Source water such as well water, tap water, and unmaintained RO water contain many chemicals such as, Chlorine, Chloramine, and Ammonia. These chemicals can be toxic to livestock health when water is not properly treated before it is added to an aquarium. Thrive Water Prep removes these unwanted chemicals and provide safe and healthy water for all aquarium types.

Directions:

To neutralize Chloramine and Ammonia use 3 drops per 3.7 litres or 1 capful (5ml) for every 113 litres of new tap water.

To neutralize Chloride, use 1 drop per 3.7 litres or 1 capful (5ml) for every 283 litres of new tap water.

For high levels of chlorine, double dosage may be added safely.

Water Prep can be added directly into aquarium. If adding directly to tank, base dose on aquarium volume.

This product is harmful if swallowed. This product contains carbonate and bicarbonate salts. If swallowed: give water, get medical attention. May cause eye or skin irritation. If in eyes, flush with water for 15 minutes, get medical attention. If on skin, wash thoroughly with water. Keep from freezing. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not use this bottle for drinking water.
